One Two Three Crash

Crashing has become part of my life over the last three years. But worst of it hit last year. Coming from running races and training regularly plus all the daily chores to not even being able to have a simple shower without breathlessness was/is frustrating and scary. It made me angry at my body for letting me down. A crash cannot be fixed with a nap or energy bar. Even supplements stopped working.

It is so difficult to explain to others or to have a social life. Even my husband cannot understand the depth of tiredness as he has energy of a two year old.
Like today we were up at 4am to take hubby to an event, running a marathon distance on sea sand. After dropping him there I made my way to Parkrun with my fittest furchild and took it easy jogging at a good moderate pace. Almost at end I could feel my arms and face tingle like my sugar levels had dropped. After downing some water felt a little better then got message I need to get going to hubby's end point which was an hours drive by road. Stopped at McD's for Watermelon McFizz times two. Thank goodness for those. My eyes were glazing over enroute. After getting home and having a shower, ate something and crashed hard. 12500 steps by lunch time and I think I will pay for it tomorrow still.

My research led me to this very helpful blog Sweet Briar Sisters
